Mosaicly ("we", "our", or "the app") is a creative photo utility that lets you split photos into tile layouts, rearrange tiles, apply filters, and save or export mosaic works on your iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

1. Summary

Mosaicly is designed to process your content on your device. We do not operate a cloud account service, social network, or server that stores your photos, works, or audio attachments. Most data stays locally on your iPhone unless you choose to export content to the Photos library or share it through iOS share sheets.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

When you use Mosaicly, the following may be stored locally (UserDefaults, app sandbox files, or Documents):

Data Purpose
Quick Login username and password Local account credentials generated on first login
Login session flag Keeps you signed in until you log out
Points balance and unlock flags Virtual currency and feature unlocks
Saved works and drafts Mosaic layout, tile order, spacing, aspect ratio, filters, background, titles, export status
Imported photos Saved in the app sandbox for mosaic editing
Optional audio attachments Voice memos or imported audio files linked to a work
Daily export counters Tracks free standard export allowance
ATT prompt shown flag Remembers whether App Tracking Transparency was requested

We do not transmit this local data to Mosaicly-operated servers as part of normal app use.

3. Permissions and When They Are Used

Mosaicly requests iOS permissions only when you use related features. There is no in-app permission management screen; you control access in Settings → Mosaicly on your device.

Camera

Used when you tap Camera on the Canvas to capture a photo for mosaic editing. Photos are processed on device.

Photo Library (Read)

Used when you tap Photo Library on the Canvas to import an image for editing.

Photo Library (Add)

Used when you export a mosaic to your photo library from the Works detail screen.

Microphone

Used only when you tap Record Audio while saving a work or replacing an attachment in Work Detail. Audio is stored locally with the work.

Document Picker (Audio Files)

When you choose Choose Audio File, iOS presents the system file picker. No microphone access is required for file import.

App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On first entry to the main app after Quick Login, iOS may show Apple's tracking authorization dialog. Mosaicly does not provide a custom pre-prompt.

Push Notifications

If you tap Enable Export Alerts in Account, the app requests notification permission through iOS so export-completion alerts can be delivered when supported.

4. Photos, Audio, and User Content

5. In-App Purchases

Mosaicly offers consumable Points through Apple's In-App Purchase (StoreKit) system. Payment is processed by Apple; we do not collect or store your payment card details. Purchase history is managed by Apple under your Apple ID.

Example Point tiers include Spark ($0.99), Layer ($2.99), Craft ($9.99), Studio ($19.99), Vault ($49.99), and Masterpiece ($99.99). Points may be used for HD export, Free Split layout unlock, draft capacity, and no-mark export as described in the app.

6. Analytics and Tracking

Mosaicly does not include a separate third-party analytics SDK in the app source reviewed for this policy. If you grant tracking permission through ATT, any data collection would be subject to Apple's platform rules and your device settings.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account from Account → Delete Account. This removes local credentials, Points balance, saved works, drafts, and related attachments from the device. This action is permanent on that device.

Logging out clears your session but retains credentials for Quick Login reuse.

8. Children

Mosaicly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Data Security

Local data is protected by iOS sandboxing and device security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). You are responsible for securing your device.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
